Once upon a time, in a small hometown where everyone knows everyone, there were two kids named Jesse and Ella. They went to the same schools, shared the same playgrounds, and even had a few awkward encounters at school dances. But, as fate would have it, they didn’t quite hit it off back then.

Fast forward a few years, and Jesse had just returned home from college for the summer, ready to enjoy some time away from dreary Rolla. One morning, a good friend called him up with an unusual request: to fill in at his mother’s daycare center. Jesse, being the good friend he is, agreed, not knowing that this would be the day his life would change forever.

Ella, who worked at the daycare, saw Jesse walk in and thought, “Hmm, what is he doing here?” She decided to drop a couple of hints, hoping he would catch on. Jesse, on the other hand, tried to play it cool, acting all nonchalant (or so he thought) like he was just there for the kids. But inside, he was a bundle of nerves.

After a day of playful banter and stolen glances, Jesse went home and immediately told his mother, “I met the girl.”

From that serendipitous day at the daycare, Jesse and Ella’s story blossomed into a beautiful, fun, and romantic journey. They laughed, they loved, and they realized that sometimes, the best things in life happen when you least expect them.

Three years later, Ella thought they were headed to a float trip in Oklahoma, invited by the same good friend of Jesse. Unbeknownst to her, he had a diamond in his boot, dresses in the trunk, and a photographer waiting in a sunflower field.
